World of Warcraft has the following minimum requirements. While some users may be able to
play on computers that do not meet these requirements, Blizzard Entertainment Technical Support
will only be able to help if your computer meets the following:
- Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz processor.
- 512 megabytes or more of RAM.
- 32MB 3D graphics card with Hardware Transform and Lighting, such as an NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or above.
(Recommended: 64MB 3D Graphics Card with Hardware Transform and Lighting, such as an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 class card or above.)
- 6 gigabytes or more of available hard drive space.
- DirectX® 9.0c or above.
- Sound: DirectX-compatible sound card.
- Internet Connection: 56K Modem or Broadband.
- Mouse: multi-button mouse with scroll wheel recommended.
- You must create an account before you can play World of Warcraft.
- You must have an active Internet connection to play World of Warcraft.
